YONAH PLAY? SPRINg tournament

IT'S OVER! THE 2017 PICKLED PEACH VALENTINE'S CLASSIC WITH 180 PLAYERS FROM ALL OVER THE SOUTHEAST AND AS FAR AWAY AS SURPRISE ARIZONA WAS A HUGE SUCCESS. Play began Friday, at 3 PM. HUMANA was our TITLE SPONSOR. Thanks to Dianne Carroll and Iva King for being our 2017 Tournament Directors. They did it all. Roy Carroll and Larry King were the Tournament Committee with Bubba Waddley, Jim Hartley, Janis Perry, Nelda Van Schoick and Ken Calkin.

Athens Pickleball player Jim Conglose, on left, celebrated his 90th birthday playing Piclkeball with Jerry Brinegar (Dr. J) and all his other Athens friends. He plays about three times a week at Lay Park and shows no mercy to his younger opponents. Jim will be playing in the third annual Pickled Peach Valentine Classic Tournament February 10th-12th at the Classic Center.

In good weather Satterfield is saturated with Athens Area Pickleball Players! IF YOU BUILD IT, THEY WILL COME! Satterfield Park is available Saturday and Sunday mornings and first come, first serve at any other time. You must be a member of AAPA to have access to the equipment locker unless you bring your own net, balls and paddles.
